You know the feeling when you move in to a new country and then for the first time feel like you're exactly where you belong, at home in that place? It's so awesome and I've felt like that since Friday. Happy, happy. I really enjoy the life here. But today I realised there is one thing missing!!!!!!! eeek

I had that feeling when I went to Australia to live. So hot, sooo just wanting to hang out in the sun, cold beer, friends, boardshorts and tans, stuff like that. Dayum, I miss it!

I googled for "Africa music festivals" in the hopes of finding you something, but alas frown biggrin ooo aaa

Have your Flatmatzes read it to you, it's beautifull smile

Speaking of a new country, admirable that you can feel this after sucha short time, It always takes me months to get there!

My immidiate feeling is always one of unmittigated excitement. Like a kid in a new toy store I guess wink

Re: Music festivals, I know what you mean it's one of the central points of a good summer.

Have fun!

The stupidness of some people just makes me so angry sometimes. On Thursday afternoon some idiot threw a cigaret butt out of his car window on Table Mountain and as a result there is huge forest fire and one person died! mad mad mad If you would have any common sense I think you would realise the danger of doing that in this dry and hot weather. But...

Sounds amazing! Living right next to a swimable beach is a great thing. One of the real perks of Marseille (I actually walk twenty minutes through a beautifull nature preserve to get to the mediterranean sea from my office wink

Enjoy it! I always love the rush of getting to a new city, especially once you have the formalities settled.

big hug. Its so surreal to lose someone, and just thinking of how it must be after 60 years of marriage jsut breaks my heart. Ive lost a few of mine, so I have had time to think about these things..

Sigur Ros and biking in the snow at dawn, by a lake, that sounds too beautiful! As for the bike lock, you could get some lock spray thatll keep it smooth. Heating it with the lighter just melts snow, which then freezes to ice, say I, mr. know-it-all. :p

Heres some inspiration (might work on the gears and wires too):
