I sit on the beach and drink beer, eat homemade ceviche, and read Saga while the boys go surfing. This is one of the few times this unconventional SoCal girl will be in the sun willingly. Im kinda of a freak about my skin. I think its the asian.
Also my boyfriend is terrible at applying sunblock on me so it looks like I have tiger strips all over my back and arms... which is usually why I just wear long sleeves when I'm going to be in the sun for a while. Like one of those crazy asian ladies wearing gloves and a hat too. Ive totally become my grandmother.
My boyfriend and I go camping almost every week during the summer. Its a cheap, easy mini vacation and the choices of camping locations are pretty vast here. We like being outside, cooking outside, relaxing and playing cards and being separated from civilization. We are both restless people and this seems to keep us from quitting our jobs and moving to Europe or South America. Which isnt actually that insane sounding. Camping or not, it could still happen.
Even though I'm not a fan of hot weather, Im glad its summer again.
