So, Happy Halloween, I guess. Obligatory jack-o'lantern picture to follow.
I carved this a few years ago.
I should really go to sleep. Tomorrow is Halloween Havana with spacelola, timber_, varite, and a bunch of other people. Myself, Lola and her friend are all going as 1950's chicks. We even got felt and pompoms and googley eyes and made our own poodle pins!
And Lola's roomie is gonna be the Danny to our Sandy, she even got a wig.

In other news, that you probably don't care about, my brother ---- well, let me give you some backstory. My brother lived with my mom until she died, and continues to live in her house now. I would love to live there, and my brother is basically like the boy who cried wolf, except he cried "I'm moving to Reno to be near my daughter". He's been crying that since April of 07. Well, he has finally set a date for it. In February on his 30th b-day, he gets the remainder of money that is in the trust that my mom left him and he is going to buy a house. Which meaaaaaans, my moms house-- my house, that I own 1/3 of-- will finally be free for me to live in. And I am so excited! I am going to PAINT! THE! WALLS!
Okay, okay, I'm trying not to be too excited, cuz he's flaked before. But I am really wanting this to happen. He treats the house like shrine/mausoleum/museum... All of my mom's nicnacs are still out... all of her pictures on the walls... it's slightly creepy. Especially since the wallpaper has started to peel and also (he's an ass) he told me that my mom is haunting the house. Whatever, she'd be a friendly ghost anyways. But he's left the house as it was, not doing any upkeep, and it's getting kind of yucky. So if I live there I am going to paint and rewallpaper, redo the carpets and see if I can salvage the pergo. Also, I will repair the hottub. It just seems silly that a house with awesome appliances, beautiful granite counters, and custom cabinetry throughout the home also has yucky wallpaper and gross carpets.
Whoa, sorry that got so long... guess it irks me more than I thought. I just hope he moves out, so I can move in and fix it up and live there forever. Eventually I will buy out my brothers shares and own the house all by my lonesome.
