So... I lost my job last week. I'm not really upset about it because I hated it so much, it's just kind of stressful to think about not having money. They said my "internet usage was excessive". Go figure. I honestly believe they concocted that excuse to get rid of me because I was trying to leave anyway. I just hadn't found something decent to replace it.

Now I am just working part time at the bar as a karaoke host (wee!) and collecting unemployment. I cashed in my 401k (which wasn't much at all) so I've been able to pay rent for another month, buy some food, and fill my gas tank.

I'm surprised at the amount of time I have spent away from the house since I haven't had a job. I haven't been sleeping in and just vegetating in front of the computer trying to grind away the next 10 levels in WoW. Instead, I've been actively seeking employment, going to the gym, cleaning/reorganizing. I went to a showing of Star Trek's original series "The Menagerie" on Tuesday. (It's been digitally remastered!) I might actually have a management position lined up at the local Pacsun which wouldn't be entirely bad. It just means I'll have to relocate... which, also isn't bad because my roommate is pregnant and kicking me out after the baby arrives.

I need to figure out what I want to do with my life...
...getting married and having babies isn't panning out so well.
