Hey hey SG!!!
So it WAS that time of year again here in Japan, 5 days earlier than usual too, but for whatever reason the site and my phone are hating on each other and not posting what I whipped up on the train for ya'll a few weeks back. = ( So you'll just have to get it all at once now! I returned from Texas with perfect timing to see the Sakura trees hitting full bloom! I got a bunch of pictures from around base and at Odawara Castle! My wife and I checked it all out before heading to a bed and breakfast to celebrate our meeting a year ago (where does the time go)! It was a truly fantastical weekend and I hope life has been treatin ya'll just as well! I brought along my good camera and got some great shots, including a few from last weekend at Showa park where the tulips are coming in and a few cherry blossoms that where still lingering.
I've also got some awesome news, our command sponsorship went through the week after I got back from TX and we are officially on the waiting list for our own place, yay! We're both excited! It's also my wife's last week of work at her job. So things are falling into place, I was hoping we'd be put up in the inn but unfortunately not. So I'm still stuck in the dorms, boo, which doesn't stop us from spending our weekends together but technically breaks some outdated rules if she stays overnight...and I just maaaay be a bad boy...= ) Timeline is unpredictable but generally less than a month and could happen at any minute! Now here are those fantastic camera photos I've been talking about, enjoy! All in a jumble of course, most the pictures are thursday evening, friday morning (we took a different route for PT, so I had to stop and take a few pictures!), and then saturday at Odawara Castle >< lol.

lingering blossoms, definitely heading here next year when these are in full bloom. It's really kewl to see them starting to grow leaves though, look close along the trunks!
Park was packed! We'll be back multiple times this summer for the all the different flowers.
