Today was kind of a bust, me and a bunch of guys from the station had planned a day trip up to the bigger/nicer/better base. It almost got kiboshed when the guys had an emergency just before shift change out that kept them from making the planned early bus. We ended up just catching a city bus a few hours later, which took forever >< lol. Highlight of which, a couple of watch salesmen came on the bus at our midway rest stop, handed out ticket things (which I have no idea exactly why), and ran through a sales pitch they'd clearly given a zillion times, the guy talking was staring at the luggage rack immediately in front of his face. All of which was in Korean (so I didn't get a lick of it), one of them said to us 'you soldier, airmen?' we said air force 'very good,' 'you handsome' then he walked away...ook then >.> lol. They sold two watch sets then left.
We got some lunch at the huge bx (basicly a mini mall) they have, which made me slightly jealous, it was pretty nice. Ours would just about fit in their food court ><. Then we went out the front gate and hit up all the shops, mostly sneaker places for the sneaker heads. I snagged a bunch of gifty things for friends and family back home. We grabbed a few drinks, hit up the big exciting thing they have back on base, Chili's, for to go dinner and grabbed the bus home. Chili's isn't really big on my list of places to go but they do have this quirky thing about corn on the cob. Which reminded me of the last time I'd been at Chili's and this super awesome uber wonderful photo that really defies captioning!...and apparently being added to my blog soo I'll stick it in separately, ha! And thus made my day = )
