Hoo-ah! (I know, it sounds way cooler when Al Pacino does it.)
Well this was just an awesome weekend. Popsicles on the porch went well, and I got to meet more people.
Movie-night went well, and I got to meet still more people.
Bowling was cool, and I got cheap new neon bowlin' shoes. And I got to meet MORE people.
I swear, if I only had a job and some money coming in, then life'd be pretty close to ideal at this point.
Granted, there are still some minor things I'd change.
Like the fact that I now live in an area that is home to the dreaded hobo spider (commonly confused with the brown recluse, which is not present in Oregon) and that the hobo spider is the number one cause of spider envenomation in the Pacific Northwest. But hey, no life is perfect. Even Gandhi got killed at the end.
The only thing I can think to throw on here in intellectual news is that I've been tearing through Palahniuk books. I realized that I hadn't read enough, so I recently tore through Choke, Invisible Monsters, and Survivor. I read Fight Club a long time ago, but I'll read it again soon I'm sure, I read that new Fugitives and Refugees shortly after I moved here. For now, Lullaby. And Diary comes out today! I may have to run to Powell's here soon and pick one up.
Whew. Tired now. Gonna get a drink of water, read, and go to sleep.
By the way - Louise (+1), Eris, December, FloggingChucky - you're all FINKS for not coming to bowling. FINKS!

erp. yes, i am also quite lame socially lately. i had like 8 different plans last night and NONE of them worked out. and besides that, i was being finkish and didn't try hard enough to make them work. hmmm.
i have FOUR DAYS OFF after today, and i plan to have some fun! let me know if you hear of anything going on.
if not i wont even bother trying.
