things that keep me up at night:
-coffee past 6-ish
-jevons' paradox (lately, anyways)
-trying to plan for all possible eventualities (a inexhaustible subject... at least if you count sheep, sooner or later they'll exhaust themselves and get tired of jumping over the damn fence...)
-memories. good, bad, mundane, and everywhere in between. another inexhaustible subject.
-a vague feeling of being unlovable. i'm pretty sure that one's genetic.
-everything ineffable. you know..." If you could say it in words there would be no reason to paint live."
-homesickness... which includes but is not limited to: fresh air, clean rivers, places to feel some semblance of solitude (distinct from isolation), sand or mud or grass in my toes, miner's lettuce, wild fish, elk eating my carefully-planted garden (even though i wasn't so happy at the time)... and, my god, spice bush blossoms in spring.
-and, i'm sure, quite a few others. i'm sure i'll think of more when i try to go to sleep again, and then i can report back.
