hey, i saw my first cottonmouth here! for those of you that don't know, cottonmouth=deadly, aggressive, very venomous water snake that's rather difficult to see. in fact, when i saw him, he was directly in the path of the one and only route from the field to the cabin, and a really bad thunderstorm was just starting to develop. ahh, choices.
i also recently found what i'm relatively sure is an indigo bunting's nest
i've also witnessed lots, and lots, and lots of dragonfly sex this week.

As for the work songs I tend to enjoy the alternative rock songs when I'm working but some good fast paced techno also works especially if there are no lyrics. You can just let the music set the pace and kind of zone out.
Gotta watch out for those Cottonmouths those fuckers are mean! We're lucky to have Mojave rattlesnakcs out here, they warn you when they're there and all you have to do is freeze and wait for them to retreat far enough that you can walk away without getting bit.
