one day, several hundred praying mantises descended in the parking lot of the albertsons in corvallis, oregon. i guess they could have ascended to the parking lot, i wasn't actually present the moment they arrived. 2 and a half blocks from my house. i took one home as a pet. i fed it blackberry brambles.
