1. Have you ever had a realization that you can't ever come back from? That changes you forever, and you can't ignore that it happened no matter how you try?

2. What's something horrible or unfortunate that has happened to you that you've made something positive out of?
That's the only real power we have, it's quite incredible...

3. What do you see?

yuriel:
i didnt see the flamingo but yet somehow i figured you had something of that nature, or aquatic, or penile coming my way tongue

I have no idea. Im an idealistic heart/soul.... but my mind/brain are painfully realistic.
This makes me groggy bitter and cynical and hoping its not over when its over, but seeing as already just waiting for it to be over before it really should be.

Hrm I'm spent on thinking. Then again I'm still hoping I can make something out of my life so yup. smile

There are positives in everything. Sometimes the negatives engulf the mind and we become to blind to see the positives, but somehow we know what to do with it, and we realize it years later.

In my case, being tortured and tormented by "peers" my whole life has had a very positive impact, and a lot of negatives too. One of the pros was that I learned to deal with things early in life and to look to myself for what i needed, and eventually who i'd become. It has made me want to follow my dreams because thats pretty much all i had left. One of the cons was that I had no trust in people for years, and still find it very hard, for fear that they may end up being the same people I grew up around.

There is symmetry in everything. whatever
cunninglinquist:
yes, there are a few times that things have happened that have changed life forever. sometimes for the good, sometime you just put up with them and get used to it.

I was such a Nicktoons kid as well! I loved all of those shows. Esp. Ren and Stimpy. smile

I don't know if it is monsoon season anywhere right now, but the Peruvian jungle sounds like an amazing place to travel. My gf is going to India this summer to intensively study Bharata Natyam dance (she's been doing it for over 16 years), and I know that it will be close to monsoon season for her then, but I don't know how much she is looking forward to all the rain. LOL. biggrin

And your dream job sounds wonderful. Where in the wilderness do you want to be? Do you have any particular place in mind? And why are you waiting 1-2 years? (Sorry for the slew of questions, sometimes I get carried away blush )

Have a great Sunday!

as opposed to the single, thick white stripe across his face from Kings of the Wild Frontier.... biggrin

I know a good Fagan, if you're looking. wink

I like the idealism of seeing it as good luck. Makes sense to me.

I just finished cataloging my CDs again, 800some total (not including mp3s), but all I can see is what we're missing! I'll just say I'm quite enthused to have such an excellent public library at my disposal. ARRR!!!

Had the pleasure of meeting some PDX folks at Oddiophile's welcome...
