A week ago I got a text from The Girlfriend saying that Portland has no good donut stores. So today I dragged her ass out of bed at 8am and took her over to Every Day donuts over in Aloha. It's not Annie's (the best donuts in Portland, hands down), but it's also 6 miles closer.
"Donuts in Orange County are better."
Ok, I can't argue with that. Portland doesn't do donuts like Orange County and Los Angeles do donuts. It's a shame really, our lack of good donut options, but we get by.
Anyway, she's passed out again on the couch while I watch Buckaroo Banzai and surf teh internets. Tonight we're going to see Watchmen in IMAX, and then drop by Doug Fir so she can have a grilled cheese sammich. I don't know what the plan is for tomorrow. We probably don't have any other than laying around snuggling. That was really what this trip was all about - catching up on lost snuggle time.

I might have to seek out some donuts now. I think I may have had one donut in the 10 years I've lived in Los Angeles.
