Ok, I'm not celebrating yet. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy as all get out that the Dem's got the House, and surprised by just how close they are to control fo the Senate. I'm just cautious when it comes to politics. I'll get back to you in a year or two about what I think about this election.

For now, though, I definitely think it deserves a beer.

Now, you see, the thing about it for me is, the congress should be controlled by the party opposite the presidency. They spend so much time fighting each other that they don't have time to screw with us. It's quite effective really. The first two years of Clinton were horrible. Why? Democratic controlled congress. The first six years of Bush were a disaster. All of Carter's term was horrid. This is what happens when someone gets carte blanche.
