Tomorrow I take the next step towards fixing my throat. There is an appointment at 1:30 tomorrow to see if my throat is strong enough to breathe without the tracheostomy. I'm pretty sure it involves needles. It seems most medical procedures do. These needles will go in my neck, and they will run electric current through the throat muscles to see how they react. Now that's some fun science right there.
Depending on the results of this test I may be scheduling yet another journey to surgeryville at OHSU. That means more needles, more meds, more rest, and more recovery.
Now that my walking up the street goal has been reached, I think my next goal is to have all my surgeries done before the end of the year.
