Today has been a pretty good day. I woke up to a phone call from my Oregon Health Plan worker telling me that my insurance is fine, and I'm allowed up to $2000/month before my Medicaid gets revoked. April, and the hospital bills associated with it, are totally covered.
Later in the day I went over to OHSU and got the staples removed from my scalp and thigh. I am now staple free, and it feels pretty good.
But the best part of my day was the drive to and from OHSU. Each way I took a taxi, and each driver had his own unique way of getting from the hospital to my house. I drove through Portland in Spring, and it is gorgeous out there. The forest is so vibrant, so alive, I can't help but feel better for just having witnessed it. Oregon is gorgeous, and I'm glad for every day I get to live here.
