I find myself in a nursing home, and I am not happy about it. There is nothing here. I found an open wifi connection that has 1 bar on the connection window display, but it seems to be enough. If I can, I'm getting out of here tomorrow.

Last night I started exercising my left leg. That's the one that was broken. I'm doing little leg lifts, knee curl types things. I lay on my back an brink my knee up as far as I can towards my chest. It takes about 8 seconds to pick up my leg and put it back down. I've been doing that 10 times every time, and it's helping. I can stand on my own now.I can stay standing, and I can move around a little. Enough to move around my apartment. Not enough to walk up the street and get grocieries or coffee, but enough to get the food once it's in my house.

It may sound tough, but it seems a hell of a lot easier than staying in a nursing home.

If my knee surgery has taught me anything, it's that hard work really does pay off. I excersized twice as much as they wanted me to and was discharged from rehab a full two weeks early. Not only that, the goal they set for me was to walk with a limp and a single point cane by the end of therapy. I was walking no limp and no cane. So, work it hard. But, the people around do know what they are talking about. If they say you are doing too much, you probably are. Get well quick man.
