So here's what I've learned about Winter so far while living in Portland.

Cold = crappy, and sometimes painful.

Hot chocolate = awesome, but sometimes painful

Snow = Really exciting for about 5 minuets, after that, see Cold above

There are two more months of this. I'm hoping to not experience: a) car frozen shut, b) frozen pipes, c) frostbite

I think I'll continue to be safe from C by following my strategy of playing lots of video games and not leaving the house. A and B I'm not so sure about. I'm most concerned about those two while I'm gone for a week, but it gives me something to look forward to when I get back.

I don't know what all I'm going to be doing while I'm in L.A., but I'm going to be doing it outside, and in short sleeves.
