So the next test for my throat is scheduled for April 7th. Then I meet with the ENT again on the 14th to discuss those results. If those tests look good, then it's time for the big surgery. I don't know how long it would take to recover from that, so I'm going to schedule it for after Prom.

I saw the doctor today to talk about how the surgery went, and what happens next. The good news is that the stenosis itself is short and easy to repair. What is worse is the scarring around my vocal chords. That will require a cartilage graft. A piece of cartilage will be removed from my ribs, and put in my throat to keep the airway...

The surgery took place at 11. I got home about 30 minutes ago. They gave me some darvocet before I left the hospital, so I'm a little out of it. Everything went well, and the doctor gave the impression that, based on what he saw today, he can fix the stenosis in my throat. I'll explain what that means sometimes when I'm less... high.
