So, I was wondering what music would help me get over my feelings of worthlessness this morning. Modest mouse just happened to do the trick. I was listening to "All Float On" while taking a belabored crap in the public restroom by the dining hall after my late brunch, and I just started crying and realizing that it doesn't matter if people think I am worthless, and it doesn't matter how much I've fucked things up, and it doesn't matter that I'm all alone and disconnected and moving way too fast into my lonely, impersonal eternity.


What do matter are the beautiful things we can see and make.

I need a hug.
