harddrive is dying on my webserver. i was hoping it would make it up 'til the release of mandrake 9.1, but i don't think luck is running in my direction.

anyway, i want to move. i need a new place to move too. i'd rather stay in canada, but any suggestions are welcome.

requirements:

1. lower cost of living than toronto (since i'm going back to school i need to save cash, rent is way too high in toronto).

2. good universities nearby. by good i mean no preppy bullshit, but honest-to-goodness rock and roll schools. i want students/staff/faculty who actually teach and learn (no forcefed nonsense) and who are not content being little cogs in the machine. lots of punk girls would be preferable.

i know a place like this exists, it has too.

3. high-speed internet access. hard as it is to believe, there are still some places that aren't. how the *$_# will i get to suicidegirls without dsl/cable+? i'd rather be shot that resort to dialup.
