It's just painful to watch a multi-party platform go the way of the federal party lead. As much as we would like to stay away from US political processes, the closer we get.

Two party systems may never work, but the other extreme ain't that great either. Look at Israel's Knesset: a few major parties and all sorts of little ones squabbling until they have to form a fragile majority coalition, which leads to haggling, concessions, and blackmail, among other things. Then, when one party decides to quit, the whole government goes down.. I think I'll take Dalton McG. for now.
