I was once a tailor on a boat.

It's easy to believe except for the tailor on the boat part, but then again, we were always telling tales on that boat.

True story.

Wow. There are way too many amazing girls on this site. Tegan is freakin' hot (for those that haven't met her), and Noelle is obviously amazing. Quinne is a kick-ass girl that I do not see enough of, and Zarina is adorable. Flick is incredibly cute, and I miss her terribly. Rosalyn and Tatum kick some serious ass and the one time I've met them...

I'm only public for a little while in order to say my goodbye's.

I know my membership is up soon and I have no plans to renew it.

You're all great people. I feel happy for having met as many of you as I have (some I wish I would have seen more of) and I hope I'll keep in touch with as many people...

"Jesus, believe us.."

"Believe us, because we taught you all you know."

...

"Keep dreaming."

....

"Believe, plead", "yeah, you know".

I'm so fucking lazy about writing accurate song lyrics, but fuck it, and fuck no how it's a stupid goddamn monday night and what the hell do I care about a silly little-ass journal entry out there in never-never land.

There's always da drums....

The blackout was fun. I can't say that everyone had quite the same experience, but regardless, stars in the night sky over Toronto is quite a spectacular thing.

So, I work with computers right? We're sitting there about 4pm when, literally, the shit hits the fan. We normally have regularly scheduled power outages which we're prepared for and even the occasional brownouts are weathered easily....

sounds like you made the most of your darkness. i love a good power failure. the night sky looks so different (see: amazing) without all the artificial light...
large groups of people often frighten me, and yet constantly manages to pleasantly surprise me.

I liked the radio report about the homeless guy directing traffic on Front St.

"The basic problem," he proposes, "has always been getting other people to die for you. What's worth enough for a man to give up his life? That's where religion had the edge, for centuries. Religion was always about death. It was used not as an opiate so much as a technique - it got people to die for one particular set of beliefs about death....

This weekend was busy busy. Obviously the highlight was the pool party, even though I didn't stay nearly as long as I would have liked.

However, it was so nice to meet Trinity, and Mya, who are both adorable and kick-ass all at the same time.

All the usual Canadian friends were there: girltoy, bigpunkmike (well, that's his name for today), Cereal_Killer...

I'm such a grown-up.

Last night I did something I swore I would never do; I sat down and figured out my expenses.

I need to know where all my money goes (wine) so that I can hopefully afford to move next year.

Damnit. I want my spontaneity back. This is just silly.

Sorry for the rant.

i've always felt too mature for my age. i was at the same maturity level when i was 6 that i'm at now.
chimpsky:
Running out of money can lead to some very spontaneous behaviour. Also not having a place to live. I think planning is excusable, at least in limited circumstances.

ps: Bad experiences with Amtrak? Naaaaahhhh.. Impossible.

Long %#$%^@!@# weekend.

Really, really long.

After a 10-hour busride through New York state I arrived at Grand Central at about 7:30 in the morning (we left at 9:30 at night) then after transferring to another bus we finally arrived in Hartford at 12:30pm on Sat.

Tired, but wanting to actually do something besides sit on a bus, we hopped in a car and drove...

BTW..just noticed Sex and Lucia and Red Violin listed on your fav movies....both damn good films I must say.

Ever taken the train to NYC? 12+ hours, usually more, and sometimes it smells bad. But at least you can get up and walk around.

BTW, if you were on a bus, wouldn't it be the Port Authority terminal where you arrived? (Former NYer here).

I'm heading to Connecticut tonight at really last notice.

I was hoping that I'd get to see Isobel during the trip, but I'm going with a lot more people than I originally anticipated (good though, it will save me money) and I don't think a stopover will fly to well with them.

But, I have made a promise and I will keep it. Maybe not...
