So, by this time next week I'll be in California (for the first time). I'm upset because I'm going to miss the get-together in Syracuse for a pre-Halloween/housewarming for Cereal_Killer and Trinity, it should be a lot of fun (and I miss certain ex-sg's and members that I haven't seen in so long).

Anyway, other than that. Not much is new. I just started...

Cali. sounds mighty fine this time of year.
tegan:
it going to be good, im sorry you cant come.

i think my uncles was funny looking... it was alright, but if it was my OTHER uncle i think i might have cried.

We are all laughter.

Sad chimes, ringing soundlessly in endless sermons preaching sanity, sanity and madness; hopelessly long, but dreadfully short lives of smoke and wispy mist spread out across a field of roses.

For whatever may pass
For whatever may wonder.

I just don't know.

Really, I need to say this more often. Remind myself that there is so much out there than you or I will ever understand.

Some of it will be beautiful, sad, transcending, horrific, or just plain dull, but it exists. It's alive. Tangible.

Reach out and grab it. Hold it next to your heart as though it will be the last...

New profile pic from the wedding this weekend.

Once again, you'll notice that I'm doing just about the only thing I do well..

Making an ass of myself.

However, I was not that drunk.

Really.

I didn't catch the garter (thankfully) and other than a lackluster performance by the bridal party, a few happless minutes caught up in the throes of the "chicken" dance (of...

Friends wedding tomorrow, which should be fun. I'll be dressed-up all nice and what have you.

Maybe cut a rug or two.

Open bar allllll night baby, with some swinging, some relaxing, and maybe later.. well.. you know.

Parcheesi. It's all about the parcheesi.

I should stop drinking at work.

hmm...they tried to adjust me well one time...but like a good little kitty, i just don't respond kindly to those doctor people.

weekends are EVIL!
but drinking at work, that's not evil. I used to work in an office where every time someone had a birthday we'd go to the pub and get drunk on our lunch breaks. We didn't get much work done :/

I'm going to gush.

Rosalyn recently had a new set put up, and wow. She's such a gorgeous girl. Incredibly smart and sweet to boot as well.

Zarina, whom I adore, but never see enough of (which is completely my fault) also graced us with a new set that, IMO, is pretty damn sexy.

Enough gushing.

Oh-My-Gawd.

So, here's the scoop. I was in Connecticut this weekend for a family get-together to celebrate the slaughter of countless of Native Americans at the hands of ruthless pirates (Thanksgiving) and was-it-ever-a-bitch.

Not so much the family part, but the border guards were bastards. All of them. I'm not just talking about the U.S. border guards either, the Canadian ones were just as bad....

meh... this prof is the same woman who recently told me that people who live in the "left side of the world" are materialistic and the people who live in the "right side of the world" are religious because left symbolizes the present and right symbolizes the future. of course, she failed to realize that the earth is a globe, a sphere, and there are no lefts or rights on a sphere.

this results in me never taking her critiques of mine or anyone's work seriously ever again.

So.

New look and feel that is starting to grow on me. Still a fews bugs with Mozilla/Firebird which sucks since I absolutely hate IE (well, as much as anyone could hate a silly piece of software).

I believe I have about a month left.

For anyone that already had my email address it has since changed. I decided to not renew my domain name...

Gosh - where have you been all this time? And you're leaving in a month? frown

My way of saying, I like what you've said in your profile and in your journal, and I wish I could have gotten to know you better. smile

I'm using Mozilla Firebird too; had to tweak the browser settings a bit before I could get the new design to work for me. It's not perfect, but it's better than it was, and I too absolutely refuse to start using IE again... puke

Anyway, hope you decide to stay around, maybe... biggrin

Fuck fuck fuck.

Talk about a landslide, so far the NDP hold only 8 ridings which runs dangerously close to losing their official party status.

Like I said, fuck fuck fuck.

Two party systems never work. It looks as though the people speak and well, the people are morons.

[I know, editorial comment, I apologize.]

It's just painful to watch a multi-party platform go the...

I voted NDP as well... I would vote green but I know that would have wasted my vote... I am drinking too... not wine though, jagermeister. That and watching my kitten and cat interacting. Ever think about coming to London for a visit?
chimpsky:
How many did they need to get party status? I'm still getting used to Canadian-style politics.. (I would've voted, probably NDP, were I a citizen).

Two party systems may never work, but the other extreme ain't that great either. Look at Israel's Knesset: a few major parties and all sorts of little ones squabbling until they have to form a fragile majority coalition, which leads to haggling, concessions, and blackmail, among other things. Then, when one party decides to quit, the whole government goes down.. I think I'll take Dalton McG. for now.

Provincial election tomorrow. Should be interesting.

Conservatives on their way out (not too bad) and it looks as though a Liberal (somewhat misleading term, I'd prefer fence-sitters) government will be the majority.

My vote went to the NDP (left) in the hopes that the official opposition will keep a Liberal party "liberal" whereas a Conservative opposition will (without a doubt) sway them the other direction....

I feel the same way. I don`t believe in such a thing as "throwing away a vote".

Happy October to you too.
