I recommend standing in front of the wedding cake with a knife and threatening to stab anyone trying to touch your birthday cake. I'm pretty sure that you'll be in your legal right to do so. I think one of the amendments to the American constitution involved something about ownership of cakes within a certain proximity on ones birthday. I think its after the amendment that prohibits the revocation of voting rights due to the non-payment of poll taxes. Also, happy birthday.
