About a week ago my boyfriend and I were walking at night, and saw a huge black lump on the sidewalk. We suspected it was a ginormous beetle, but it was so big, we didn't really believe it. I tried to throw a rock at it and freaked out before it even got close to it. The rock missed, the lump didn't move, and we ran away. When we returned a while later, it had moved! We found it in a gaping hole between two sidewalk... planks? Then we knew it was a huge beetle. It was the length of my pinky finger! I tried to take pictures but I had nothing to put nearby to show the hugeness of it. I also didn't want to hang around there after shrieking like a girl.
Then yesterday an enormo-bee flew into the window. It was HUGE. And I'm beginning to believe the Pickering nuclear plant (he lives in Pickering) is causing this strangeness.
