2 things to blog about today, however first a funny picture that makes me glad I'm the vocalist in my band :P
So, one thing I've noticed about the layout is that it's very hard to navigate to the hopefuls sets, you've got to go to photos, then to specifically hopefuls sets and it appears to have had a devastating affect on the number of comments, all are below 200, some have been there for days. Am I the only one who's noticed this? What do you hopefuls think about it?
Secondly, nihilism, for those who don't know there are many types of nihilism, the belief that there is no meaning to life, there is no morality, no right or wrong. I'm finding myself increasingly drifting towards a type called existential nihilism, this one is specific to the belief that there is no meaning to life. I still believe in morality, pain and suffering is real therefore morality is important, however I see life as being the product of random chance events of physics, chemistry and biology, nothing more. Someone did argue that we give our own meaning to life, it is what we make it, however if our lives are meaningless in the context of the universe who are we to impart meaning to it? Deep stuff isn't it? I'm not completely of this belief, I value love, happiness, friends, family etc... But life really is the product of random chance evolution, nothing more, nothing less.
