I haven't been this happy or excited about anything in well over a year now.
First off today I bought a second hand gaming PC off eBay, I5 2500k 3.3GHZ Quad Core, Nvidia GTX 560, 16GB RAM, 1TB Hard Drive. Why? Because ROME DEMANDS SPEED AND PERFORMANCE FROM HER GENERALS! Total War: Rome 2 was released today though I won't get to play it until tomorrow because I'm downloading from Steam.
But the big thing is, near where I live now in a new development a shared ownership 2 bedroom flat has just become available for resale, damn good price too, 46,250 for 25%, which for the area I live is very good for the overall price (185,000 full value). What's looking likely, since all of friends are either not in a position to buy or want to buy with their partner (bastards!
) I'll have an arrangement with my mum, she's planning to move to Spain with her partner soon, so she'll put in half the money for that share, then come back occasionally to do temp work every couple of months of so. So for the most part I would living on my own, I would still have the parental "intrusion" every so often but this at least does get me my own space for the most part and on the property ladder. It's fucking nice flat too! Only a few years old, residents gym, under floor heating, I believe they advertise them as "luxury" apartments so I think the other residents may end up hating me
It's not quite the full independence I wanted, it's a compromise but one I have to since so much is against young buyers like me, but I can have temporary lodgers while my mum's not here and she would contribute when she is which will give some cheaper months to offset the extra cost of living on my own.
