Birthday was shit, bands were shit then BBQ didn't go ahead because most of the people had something more important to do (that's not sarcasm, it genuinely was more important so I understand) and the rest just didn't seem to view it as important.

I'm mulling things over on the job front. The company I work for is great, the people are very fun to work with, the environment is relaxed and with lots of prospects for the future. The problem is quite simply it's not what I want to do long term, it's an online bookies I work for and my long term prosepects within the company are essentially to manage the online poker department if and when it does get going. And that's it, I don't want to be some office manager working all the time behind a desk.

My degree is event management and that's what I want to work in, the parts behind the desk are more bearable since they would involve actively planning and the other half of the job would be at the events themselves running things and organising, and that's where I thrive and what I enjoy.

The main problem is leaving behind all the friends I've made and the very supportive environment that got me through my hard time last year and the fun social working environment, we do a lot of nights out and various things that make it worthwhile sticking around.
