So time for a little bit of rant, todays topic? Women!

Or more specifically women using dating apps.

I've been using the Let's Date app for a couple of months and the Plenty Of Fish app a week ago. Now on the Let's Date I've had nearly a dozen matches, however a couple turned out to be in other countries and those I've messaged with the exception of one who there wasn't really a connection with from chatting none reply to a message! You've hit the Let's Date button so you're obviously interested so why you no respond! I've tried conversation starters like asking about their music tastes or interests and being more direct, introducing myself and asking if they would like do something, after all the point is to date.

The POF app obviously doesn't work in the same way, I've found a few girls with similar enough interests, sent half a dozen messages over the last week, usually I ask about an interest of their's like "what made you first start......." or something more general like "Hi, so tell me one random fact about yourself, the more random the better " Only got one reply and they didn't reply again :/
The other thing about POF is the number of girls who've put in the about me "no perverts asking for one night stands" or "don't send mr dirty pictures of yourself", clearly a lot of asshole guys using this site, but my point is if you're so annoyed by people like this why ignore people who send you genuine nice messages!

I'm not looking for anything serious through these apps, I'm not quite ready for that again, putting myself in a position to be hurt, I'm just looking to meet new people, start enjoying life again and rebuild my self-confidence. I don't think there's anything wrong with my profiles, I list my interests not in too much detail so there's stuff to ask, have a few jokes, balance seriousness and funness.

Any pointers for starting conversation, profile information or in general would be greatly appreciated
