My Birthday Weekend Rocked!!!
Thanks again to everybody who commented on my journal & wished me a happy birthday, I got over 100 comments, so I was totally feelin the SG love! You all rock & know how to make a guy feel special on his bday!!!
Yes, my bday weekend rocked! I had a blast with everybody I got to see this past weekend! I guess I should recap:
Saturday
I met up with Poe and ghosty, we all just chilled at their place for awhile! Later, lex and whatshisnuts joined us... we all just hung out till we left for Dave and Busters. We all got to Dave and Busters & met up with shabbydo, prosaic_muse & Clyde who were all there already... vectrexxx showed up, kellyjanice showed up shortly after that, as did Loe, _seven_ & Austin. We all went & played games.. it was fun! I liked skee ball, and the cool South Park pinball machine... and this lame rollercoaster simulator that Poe & I did was fun! I watched kellyjanice beat out the hell outta vectrexxx in this basketball game... it was funny! And I got to watch Poe & whatshisnuts play some rip off game of DDR, it was quite a site to see! Later, the_grinch showed up... as did burnbright, they of course joined us. I ate yummy appetizers with Poe, we got hungry! Then everybody just came & hung out, talked, good times! We stayed till close! Vectrexxx & I went to Pure Platinum afterwards, met up with lex, whatshisnuts, & nenia, it was fun for the most part, but I was tired. It was nice to see peachygrrl who was working that nite, she's a cutie! I thought Platinum was okay... but I still like Diamonds better! After Platinum closed, went back to kellyjanice's place & crashed out round 6am!
Sunday
I slept till round 2pm... kellyjanice got home from work & we went out to lunch / dinner with patch! That was nice! Then, we were joined by orez, we all shot over to Hounddogs & met up with vectrexxx, sonet, collagenrock, & Poe joined us too. I left & got my friends visionsofred & her friend Jake, then came back & hung out some more! Afterwards, vectrexxx, visionsofred, Jake & myself went back to ghosty's for awhile... hung out some before the GWAR show! Poe had us listen to this band of retarded kids. And no, I'm not being mean... this is an actual band of retarded kids who learned how to play instruments & cut a cd & everything... if you dont believe me, here ya go: Kids of Widney High, check them out, its interesting to say the least! We also watched some live karaoke online... it was quite funny!
Afterwards, vectrexxx, visionsofred, Jake & I headed to the Newport for the GWAR show! We missed the 1st band... Mensrae & I didnt really care for All That Remains. I dug Dying Fetus though... and of course GWAR freaking rocked! We had a blast in the pit... got to see em kill people like John Kerry, George Bush, Osama Bin Laden, Paris Hilton, & some others... we totally got covered in GWAR goop, it was great! I ran into lots of people I knew from home, that was kinda cool! It was definitely some good times!
That pretty much sums up my birthday weekend! I ended up calling off work today cause I didnt get home till 2:30am... and there was no way I was gonna pull a 10 hour shift on 2 hours of sleep, I'm too old to do that shit anymore!
Punk Nite is coming together already for the shows in 2005. So instead of just doing 3 or 4 shows like we've done in past years... we ARE doing 6 shows this year! How awesome is that? Tentative dates for 2005 include: Jan. 8th, March 5th, May 14th, July 2nd, Sept. 3rd, & Nov. 12th... all these dates are booked for Punk Nite, so bands start getting in touch, these shows will be high demand to get on! Bands I'm hoping to get on some of these shows include: The Supermen, Lazy American Workers, Scullsoup (they had to cancel for the last one I did), The Twats among several local bands that I know are wanting to play, so it should be a busy year for Punk Nite, you'll hear more about this in the near future!
Clover is coming to Ohio in the next few days... hopefully I'll be able to catch up with her sometime before PHP this coming weekend!
Tryst is coming this Friday, I cant wait to see her! You all are in trouble when you have us 2 together, you'll see... take my word for it though! And I get to spend 4 freaking days with her, I'm so excited!!!
Only bad thing about the weekend was finding its gonna cost me like $380 to get my car fixxed... something is up with the power steering pump, anybody know anything about this? Plus, my car wouldnt even start today when I was taking it to the shop, had to get it jumped... I have a bad feeling it might even be more than that, I sure hope not!
But all in all... it was a great weekend. Thanks to everybody who was a part of it, it was a blast seeing & hanging with you all. And I'll see some of you this coming weekend for PHP!
