Its Da Weekend!!!
So the weekend is here... woo hoo!!! And I have myself a nice 3 day weekend cause I'm off work on Monday, so that makes this weekend even better. And this weekend marks the start of all the shows, events, & roadtrips that I have coming up for the next 2 months or so, I'm excited!!!
So the plans for this weekend aren't a whole lot, but at least its something. I think I'm gonna hit up Best Buy later today with my Best Buy credit card since its almost paid off, hopefully I can find that Saved By The Bell dvd collection I've been looking for! And who knows what else! I'm going out to Cincy on Sunday to see The Genitorturers @ Sudsy Malones, I'm super excited about that as I've been a fan of them forever & I finally get to see them live. And don't forget, Sunday is Mothers Day... so make sure you show yr MOM how much she rules, I know I will be!!!
And good news from this past week, one of my bestest friends in the world, the lovely Poe is finally a Limbo Girl, so go visit her profile & make her feel welcome. She's actually Tryst's roommate & best friend, and these girls are some of my bestest friends in the world. I'm excited they are both gonna be SG's!!! And I shot Poe's debut set, so lemme know what you think when she does go up, its really awesome so I hope everybody likes it! These girls are 2 of the sweetest, fun & exciting girls you can be around, trust me here, its da truth! I can't wait till I see them again
So I'm finally back in the swing of things with the whole booking thing! I nailed down the details for the 1st Punk Nite weekend!!! Its gonna be Friday June 4th + Saturday June 5th in Troy. I should have a poster with all the info soon! Its 2 nites... 10 bands... w/ Legbone, The Indigents, A Planet For Texas, Children Of Reagan, The Story Changes, Eko-Tox, Profits Of A Downfall, AKA, Race 101, + FBS. And the June 5th show its gonna be Legbone's CD release party, so this a show NOT to be missed!!!
In other booking news, I'm helping out SG Texas & her band The VeXed book their summer tour which happens in July. I'm hoping my plethora of contacts in the midwest & east coast can come through for me & help em out with shows. So if anybody books shows in the Midwest / East Coast, get in touch with me so maybe something can be worked out.
So the whole job situation still sucks, I think on Monday I'm gonna go out & fill out some applications & submit my resume to some places. We'll see what happens I guess. Even if I could find alittle part time job for the evenings, it would help me out so much. But I guess I'm just gonna keep looking till I find something, so keep your fingers crossed for me!
So that's my update for this week, I'll probably update before I head to Cleveland next weekend, another big, fun filled weekend next weekend too! I can't wait!!!
