So another weekend is upon us, and yet another 3 day weekend for me! Yippee for not having to work Good Friday! And Happy Easter weekend to those who celebrate!!!
Everybody go congratulate the wonderful kellyjanice as she has some big news up on her journal. So I want to wish her & Micah the best. Congrats again Kelly!!!
Unfortunately, the TIFFANY concert I was supposed to go to in Indianapolis this past Thursday was postponed until May 27th. Bummer!!! So now I have to wait till late May to see the 80's star that I had the biggest crush on. I'm still going though, wouldn't miss seeing her for anything!!!
So Friday morning I picked up Tryst's awesome roommate Raquel. We just hung out most of Friday, kinda caught up, slept, watched tv & messed around on the computer. We went out to eat later that nite, went & rented some movies, & then went to the strip club / porn shop where Raquel bought a kick ass new vibrator. The guy that rang Raquel up noticed my Legbone shirt & said that he saw them sometime last year downtown & was quite impressed! And he mentioned that some band called Girlush Figure opened the show too! This is a weird coincidence cause both these bands are good friends of mine & bands I've worked with regularly in the past! Apparently, the show he caught was one of Tryst's very last shows with Girlush Figure. I asked him if it was the show @ 1470 West with The Jackalopes... and it was!!! This definitely made me realize how small this world really can be!
R.I.P. Kurt Cobain (1967-1994) of Nirvana! April 5th marked 10 years since Kurt Cobain left this world... one of the few people & bands that had a big impact on my life personally. I'm just happy that I can say I still have all this amazing Nirvana music to listen to when I please, and also was one of the fortunate ones who saw Nirvana live in concert. I'll never forget it!!!
So myself & kellyjanice have put together a nice little SG get together for next Friday April 16th out in Columbus. All you in the area should come! We're going bowling, then hitting up a bar or something for some more hanging out, should be fun! Check out the thread in the SGOhio group: Columbus Get Together Details. So everybody should either post in that thread, or in mine or kellyjanice's journal if yr coming. Good times will be had by all, I can't wait!!!
Good times on the horizon!!! April 16th is the SG Columbus get together... May 6th I finally get to see The Genitorturers live after being a fan for years... May 14th I wanna go to Cleveland to see the Mindless Self Indulgence / Genitorturers / Mushroomhead show, but am not sure that will be possible... June 4th + 5th are my next Punk Nite shows... June 12th going to Baltimore w/ my buddies Legbone... June 19th + 20th is the SG Cedar Point Day + the Pink House Party 4... and June 26th + 27th are the Suicide Girls Burlesque shows in Detroit + Cleveland. Its already shaping up to be a busy summer, I can't wait!!!
