I Like Weekends!!!
Yeah, I especially like weekends that are longer than usual, like this one cause I'm off today! Woo Hoo! So I have a nice 3 day weekend which will most definitely be enjoyed! I feel like I should be out & about trying to get like the million things I need to do done, but no, here I am in front of my computer, again! I have the whole weekend, so I'm not worried. I do need to get a few things done before I leave for Indianapolis later today though, like get an oil change & go to the copy place to make some copies of the posters I have for my next PUNK NITE show so I can put them up in the club either today or tommorrow.
But anyways tonight, I'm going to Indianapolis tonight to see a punk rawk show at a skate park, should be cool! I'm gonna be meeting up with CelticBootGirl & we're gonna hang out & go check out the show. I can't wait to see my good friends the Menstrual Tramps who have been out on tour this week. They are from Minneapolis & one of the best live bands that I've seen, so I'm anxious to see them again. I'm also anxious to see some of my Indy peeps out there at the show too, so it should be fun. And I'm hoping that I'm gonna book a show for my friends Legbone while I'm out there for April, we'll see I guess! But I'm actually really looking forward to this show & checking out all the bands who are playing. Yes, I am excited!!!
And Saturday I plan on sleeping in, which is always good! I'm gonna hit up all the record stores in the area putting up posters & flyers for my PUNK NITE show on March 27th, gotta start working the promotion now. And then sometime Saturday afternoon / evening, I'm going with my MOM to see The Passion Of The Christ as its a movie I do feel I really need to see being that I was brought up Catholic & all. I have a feeling I'm so going to cry during the movie, but I'm looking forward to seeing it! And Sunday will be my maxin' & relaxin' day! So thats what my weekend is looking like at this point!
In more bad news, I told ya last time about my Grandpa on my MOM's side of the family who died last Sunday. Well, another turn of bad luck, as we just found out my DAD is gonna lose his job that he's been at for 24 years, and this is a real shocker to the family. Not good! So looks like money is gonna be tight in the future. And its weird this string of bad luck has happened within a week, am I next? Should I be worried that something bad is gonna happen to me now? I sure hope not! This stuff is really depressing to me, which is why I try to keep my mind focused on all the good stuff that is happening in my life right now. But this kinda stuff makes ya realize that you really shouldn't take yr life for granted, and right now I'm happy about alot of stuff going on my life. But, on the other hand, am really sad & depressed about stuff that is happening to 2 people that I love more than anything. I don't know, I just want things to work out for them cause my parents are the BEST & I couldn't be happier with the way they raised me. So I only want & hope for the best for them, cause they deserve it!
Okay, I need to get going, so everybody have a rockin' good weekend!!!
