Suicide Girls Burlesque
Oh my gosh... last nite @ the Suicide Girls Burlesque show @ Little Brothers in Columbus was one of the best nites ever!!! I had such a blast!!! And now I'm thinking about making the trek to the Cincy show on Monday if I can get a vacation day on Tuesday, we'll see!
I got to Magnolias around 5 & I did a bunch of record shopping, picked up the following cd's: "Babes in Toyland - Fair is Foul and Foul is Fair," "Scarling - Band Aid Covers The Bullethole," "Scarling - Sweet Heart Dealer," "The Gits - Frenching The Bully," "Fabulous Disaster - Panty Raid," & "Evil Beaver - Pleased To Eat You." I always do some mega cd buying whenever I hit up Magnolias in Columbus.I met up with kellyjanice & her boy micahticus somewhere between 530-6 @ Magnolias record store in Columbus. We didnt even recognize each other at 1st... but when I first saw her, I did think it was her. So we hung out a bit, did alittle record shopping, went & got some pizza to eat & then got in line for the show. It was really cool hanging out with them as they are really rad people & a great couple, its actually kinda cute!
And so we got into the club sometime after 8 I believe & just chilled pretty much, waiting for people to get here & the show to start which seemed like took forever! Denovo rocked it! Somewhere towards the end of their set, we got split up but then I ran into my buddy doctashock & we hung out some. Always good seeing the shock, he's a rad dude! I then ran into some other sgohio peeps like stirfry, tikkigod, & many others that I cant remember their names cause its early & I haven't really got much sleep! But man, it was such a blast! Bloom played a killer set, very impressive! And then the Suicide Girls performed! Oh my gosh... they are so beautiful! I think the best word to describe them would be elegant! Each SG on the tour... Siren, Snow, Tegan, Violet, Shera, & Brandy was super impressive. I really dug all the little skits, my favorite I think being the cheerleading skit with Violet & Shera! But of course, they were all great! It was super cool to actually be there & a part of all this. Plus, the finale was super hott watching the girls pour whipped cream & chocolate syrup all over themselves & the crowd, so so great! The show was completely packed & I dont think I've ever seen Little Brothers that crowded. I'm pretty sure everybody left the bar with a nice grin on their faces, as I know I did!
After the show itself, I hung out for awhile & mingled with some of the SGOH peeps. We took pics, talked about the site, & what not! I got some autographs of the lovely SG's on the posters I bought, very nice! And the highlight of my nite was giving the SG's the cute little Valentine's I had made for each of them which I had 6 little baggies, one for each SG with some goodies, a cute lil monkey boy that had a towel that said "You're a Knockout" & a little plush heart that said "Be My Valentine." I think the SG's loved it as I got hugs & kisses from Siren & Shera. That was definitely the highlight of my nite! And someone even told me I got big points for that, so I guess I did something right. So all in all, it was an amazing nite!
Suicide Girls Burlesque Part 2 !!!
So, after seeing the Columbus show Saturday nite, I made up my mind to hit the SGB show in Cincy @ the Southgate House on Monday nite, which I did! The Messengers opened the show with a killer set & they will probably end up on one of my Punk Nite shows down the line. Not to compare the shows, but Columbus was way better! Damn those Cincy / Kentucky state laws!!! The girls really turned down their show, probly so they wouldn't get arrested which is understandable. It was still good seeing them again!!! Plus, I got to meet SG Maddy & soon to be SG Lucretia who were both the tip girls! I think Lucretia has the prettiest hair! But, they both looked divine & were totally working the crowd getting tips. I also met Pyrate & vectrexxx who were both cool peeps. Even met a non member who reads my journal & stuff alot & will be joining the site here in a few days. He was a cool cat too! It was still fun! And last nite backs up my theory that the cheerleading skit is the hottest skit they do. And I think Violet is so hott & adorable! She looked stunning last night, I was speechless! Siren gave alittle speech at the end thanking everybody for coming & that the SG's had fun, but were wanting to be alittle more saucier than they were, but couldnt because of the state laws. Alot of people were like screw the state laws & the CCV! But, we didnt want the SG's getting arrested! Alot of commotion happened after the show, but I guess was just boys fighting which I heard ended up bringing the cops. Yeah, so this show was just okay, I had fun, met some cool SG members, but the Columbus one was da best!

-The girlies! I think the best part is the fact that there are groups so you can meet up with like-minded people and have a good time.
