Oh wow... its been awhile since I've updated my journal here. Sorry for the lack of updates... but I've been so so BUSY!!! I even passed up on going to see my friends the Gore Gore Girls in Columbus today... just cause I knew I had 3 days of shows ahead of me this weekend. Its all good though!!!
Big weekend coming up!!! I'm going to see Dr. Chud's X-Ward Thursday Oct. 23rd in Dayton w/ my friends Legbone + The Story Changes. Should be a kick ass show. Then, Friday Oct. 24th my friends Broadzilla from Detroit come to Troy for a show. And of course on Saturday Oct. 25th is my huge Punk Nite 4 show in Troy. Its gonna be one hell of a weekend... and I cant wait. Lots of friends... lots of drinking... and lots of kick ass music. Hell yeah!!!
Last Friday (Oct. 17th) I saw the UK Subs w/ Toxic Narcotic + Total Chaos @ Sudsy Malones in Cincy. What a kick ass hardcore show!!! It totally rocked!!! It rocked seeing Toxic as they havent been in this area since like '95. They are amazing live... and Sam their drummer is just the shit! Bill Toxic was all up in the crowd having the kids sing along & everything... it was great! He even somehow managed to cut his face somehow as he was bleeding after the set. Very punk rock!!! I'm glad I made it out for this one. And support Rodent Popsicle Records... as Bill Toxic runs the label & its actually the label my good friends Girlush Figure are on. Check out their new release "Rotten To The Core."
The weekend before that (Oct. 10th + 11th)... hung out & went to shows w/ my friends Die Cheerleader Die from Baltimore. The played in Columbus twice in one night (@ Midgard Comics early & then @ Bernies later). Good shows... especially the Bernies show! That rocked... such a good time. Then, they played a cool DIY venue in Middletown called The Hoosegow. What a kick ass place & the people there are the coolest. Totally rad place... hope to see more shows there!
