What a weekend!!! And I'm on vacation all this week. Woo Hoo!!! No work for me. I'm so excited!!!
I went to the Ohio State Fair yesterday (Sunday Aug. 3rd) pretty much just to see Joan Jett & The Blackhearts. And it was actually my 1st time ever going to the Ohio State Fair. It wasnt too bad actually... would like to get a chance to look around more if I go back. I think the Ohio State Fair runs for a few weeks so maybe I'll end up back there! But, the Joan Jett & The Blackhearts concert was just awesome! And the cool thing was... that the ticket price was included in the price of admission into the fair. So.. for $8... u got into the Ohio State Fair... and got to see an ass kicking concert by Joan Jett & The Blackhearts. What a deal, huh? I dont think Joan Jett ever ages! She looked amazing... decked out in a black vinyl top & leather pants. She totally rocked it out & had the crowd singing along to most of her hits. She played just about all her hits... "I Love Rock N Roll," "Crimson & Clover," "Do You Wanna Touch Me," "Cherry Bomb," "Bad Reputation," "Everyday People," plus a few others too! A rockin' set to say the least! Joan Jett is so the epitomy of all the grrrls + grrl bands doing their thing today. And lemme tell ya... she has not lost a single thing with age! I hope she continues to rock it out till the day she dies cause I'll still be coming to her concerts no matter how old she is. So yes... Joan Jett rocks!!!
My brother Steve got married this past Saturday Aug. 2nd. It was such a beautiful & touching wedding! I was so glad I was part of the wedding party too! Yeah, I actually had tears of joy for him after the wedding. Yes, I can get emotional too sometimes! It was so great to see so many friends + family who I had literally not seen in years. And it was the first time EVER that we actually had family members from both my MOM's side and my DAD's side together. It was really wonderful acutally! The reception was super fun too! Lots of friends + family having a good time dancing & what not. It was so good to see all that after all the planning + stress everybody had been thru putting all this together. It definitely paid off & was well worth everything!!!
I start alittle week long tour w/ my good friends Girlush Figure this week. Yup... I'll be out on the road w/ them from Aug. 4th - 9th so if yr in the vicinty of any of these shows... come on out...:

I will also be going to see Girlush Figure Aug. 15th in Detroit + Aug. 16th in Indianapolis. Then, it looks as though I may be heading to Richmond,VA for a week to see some dear friends of mine for the rest of that week. Things are busy busy busy!!! But I love it!!!

and my only free nights to go out are on friday nights. there has to be some other sg event coming up that's not as far away as halloween.
