Hey there all you SG sex things,
I hope this finds you well and good. I am happy and getting over two days of the flu.
Things are good. My birthday party was fun, not a five-alarm fire but a good time. I invited Mr. Boss and Ms. Boss to my party and since half of the folks there were my work buddies it never got as rowdy as it might have. But everyone had a good time and the dog was cool to everyone. God, The Dustmop loves my one co-worker hung around him all night like he was Doctor Fucking Doolittle. Great night, all told. And I was only mildly hung over all day and I got shitfaced on Jagermeister and a couple of beers, and some kind of Mikes Hard drink that may have been the one that put me over the edge.
This was a decent week. I got a good bit of writing done compleated eight pages of the play today, a new record. I have the characters and the dialogue I just added the last four people, sort of the sub-action support folks who are catalysts for what happens. I like them, and the conflict between them made me laugh out loud.
Now, will anyone else ever give a shit? All things in good time.
So I was out with two days of the flu it sucked. I managed one hour at work on Thursday before I had to have (!) come pick me up. Spent all day in bed, and most of Friday too. But I got to do something I never get to do watch a bunch of TV. I saw:
A whole bunch of DS 9 & Next Generation fun as usual.
Richard Jennings stand-up special, twice.
The new David Spade show (it hasnt found its voice yet but I have high hopes)
Season finale of Battlestar Galactica almost too harsh. Loved it.
And a bunch of other bullshit.
Well thats that. Good night SG, we love you! See you next tour!
be well,
ph
Taoist thought of the Day: Nothing in the universe works the way reincarnation is purported to work. The soul, the energy of the body, leaves its broken vessel and somehow retains its superficial shape? It would be as if every cloud was shaped like the rivers and lakes that their individual droplets of water came from.
Cat Report: Kay, Im trying to be cool about this. My Exs mom is taking them in. That in and of itself is wonderful news; Ms. Exs house is a kitty paradise, she is the nicest woman you would ever want to meet. But she is CHANGING THEIR GODDAMN NAMES!!! This seems to bother no one but me, but shit its their NAMES. Obviously you give an unidentifiable stray a new name what the fuck else are you going to do but she knew them as Fresh and Cali. Its all good, its not like they answered when you called (although they definitely knew their names). But it makes me a little sad. Well, the world keeps turning. Goodbye Fresh and Cali, hello (*gasp!*) Jasper and Sylvia.
Factoid: My favorite tourist trap is The Thing, located off 1-10 in Texas Canyon, Arizona. Not only does it have a Dairy Queen and a Subway located inside (which, of course, means you can have a tuna sub with onion rings), not only do they have an airplane hanger full of Indian blankets, Mad Libs, turquoise jewelry, giant belt buckles, heroic cowboy statues and three dozen flavors of fudge BUT they have an extremely reasonable, must-be-seen museum. The brave follow it to the end and see THE THING for themselves.
Currently digging: Jamaican Lamb Curry, Donavan, paid sick days, The Dregs, fun with videotaping.
