Hey SG friends and neigbors,
I hope this finds you well and good.
You can tell when my life gets buisy because I completely neglect the internet. Its nothing personal folks there has just been alot going on.
Today, however, is special - I'm sick and in no shape to work. You could argue that I'm in no shape to type either but I'm making the effort.
So heres the long and short of it:
- I moved to Athens! After all my job hunting I finally got an offer here. Mr. Tattoo invited me to come work and live with him and the lovely Ms. Tattoo. I came to town and had an interview that went well. We discussed me comming in later on in the year, but as soon as I was hom there was a message asking me to start Monday. So I moved in about a week.
- The new job rocks! I am gratefully working at a warehouse here, a super chilled enivornment with good folks and fine hours. Now I can start working on the mountain of debt I incured during my eight months of unemployment.
- My high school sweetheart got in touch with me! Now that was nuts. The day after I got here I got a note on the internet from my ex from way back (we started dating in 1985 - hello! how many of ya'll were even born?!?) She is doing good out in Oregon. We talked for hours, said good by then she called back, we talked some more and then had phone sex. What this means I do not know.
It was a nostalgic rush, though, that may or may not ever go anyplace since she is a million miles away. We have history of getting back together, though - we only ever broke up because she had to move back to California and I subsequently went off to college. It seemed like every time she came to town we would hook up and have these mini-relationships before she went home. I went out and saw her in Cali, same deal. So we shall see.
So this is a whole new start in alot of ways. I'm psyched to be back in Athens where I had some very good years. A few old friends still live here and I'm hooking up with them one by one. Writing goes suprisingly well, considering all the distractions I have. Other than the fact that I herfed on my way in this morning all is good in punkinland.
I wish you all the best. I'm horribly behind at reading journals and will try to catch up here in the next couple of days but for the time being I am at the mercy of a friend's computer and will be on when I can be on.
I miss you all!
take it light,

Taoist thought of the day: On your very best days you take baby steps along the Tao. Let it take the time it takes.
Cat report of the day: Missing the cat's terribly. Babygirl is taking care of them while I'm here. I got to go back one night and I could tell that they were very upset. All I can do is get into my own place quickly so we can all be together again.
Factoid: My first apartment in Athens was a 250 dollar a month room with a bathroom in the hall. I used to go out on the roof on Sunday and read the paper and drink coffee. That was back when I smoked ciggerettes - I remember flicking butts over the hedges into the Krystal's parking lot.
I hope this finds you well and good.
