Hello SG Friends and Neighbors,
I hope this finds you well and good.
I had a busy couple of days . . . I ran into a friend of mine from college who just happened to have an emergency writing job he needed doing. Five days, 5K words. So, I hit the library and my laptop.
And last night I finished the job a smooth two hours before my absolute last minute deadline and got it done. It felt good - I'd sure love to be writing full time again. I miss it.
Actually since I'm still looking for a day job I suppose that I am a full time writer . . . I'm just not getting any money for it right now.
Mr. Tattoo came by with a joint the other day . . . it had been forever and ever since I had any of that. It was fun and we got to talking. Seems his wife had someone that she wanted me to meet . . . I had to be real honest and tell her that at this exact second I could not imagine ever trusting someone like that again. It was good and bad to get that out into the open.
My plan for today Im just going to drive around and look for help wanted signs. Something has to give eventually, right?
We had a big party for Punkerella here for her birthday. Her and her friends are mad for theme parties so this was the Black and White Ball, just like Capotes. It was lots of fun. Most everyone came dressed to the nines, including yours truly who hates to put the dog on. We had a pretty slim turn out but those who came were fun and kept it jumping. All in all a good time.
BTW if it ever comes up that someone asks you what kind of party punkinhead would like all I want is friends, refreshments, good music and conversation. Fuck all that theme bullshit my people are interesting enough. Although I admit that I love surprises and a surprise party would be cool . . .
So thats all I have today friends. I hope everyone is having fun this season.

Taoist thought of the day: If you really want to appreciate the Tao, read some of the other sad bullshit that passes for philosophy. I think that a line of philosophical thought that doesnt lead to happiness should be thrown out the window. And anyone who tells you that life is all sad/ absurd/ meaningless/ nothing is actually pronouncing a curse on you thats black magic. Avoid those folks and their ideas.
Cat Report: A dish fell and shattered in the kitchen yesterday Fresh hid from me all day, like it was some kind of punishment and he was in trouble. Hes a weird cat. Cali is very cool and has been awfully sweet of late.
Factoid: Im off my usual veggie + seafood diet until New Years. So far I have eaten burgers, chicken wings, meatballs, ribs, an Italian sub, and a hot dog. Left to go is chili, gumbo, a gyro and something au jus.
