Fucking aught-six. Can you believe? So far so good.
Xmas was fun and laid back. Maya and I visited both families in Marietta. I had a fantastic time & I hope I contributed to everyone elses good time. My sister told me that I give the best presents, and coming from her thats a huge compliment.
I ate, ate, ate. Seriously, this Xmas there seemed to be cookies everywhere I want. And I eat cookies like a four year old with vigor and abandon, no thought of consequence. With exactly the effects you would expect.
For New Years, we went quiet romantic rather than stumbling drunk. It was superlative yummy Thai food and a long walk, bottle of good wine and some delightful Quality Personal Time. We did the countdown in the bathtub with drinks and candles. Mmmmm mmmmm.
Things have been really good Maya is enjoying her last few days of break before the semester starts. Its been eeeeeeeeeever so lovely, friends. Fancy meals, lots of videos (were almost through season four of Star Trek *sigh*) and sweet together time.
Maya got half of her big Xmas she got a delightful nose piercing with the Gift Certificate I gave her (Pain and Wonder There Is No Substitute). Its very sexy and becoming. The other half is her first tattoo, which we are probably going to do in two weeks.
Anyway, I have a huge day so Im out. But yall take care. Ill try to tag everyone up at some point.

Cat Report: Vindaloo couldnt be any cuter without federal money. Last night she got all tuckered out and slept holding Mayas leg like a big teddy bear. You could cry a Big Gulp. Oh, and Bacchus is doing well too. Hes due for a walk here any minute I cant believe hes still asleep.
Factoid: I spent last night reorganizing my music. I use wine crates to hold them, which means sometimes I have to create sub-sets in order to make everything fit. So I now have a punk section drawn from my quote unquote alternative section, and I broke my too-big jazz section down by finally taking the bluesy stuff out and actually putting it with my blues. Also created two new sections Rare Stuff and Only To Be Played Once A Year.
Currently digging: Hawaiian coffee, new notebooks, Falafel, new/ old friends, the evolution of Star Fleet, Harlan Ellison, and god help me but I cant take the Lem CD out of the car
