Hello SG friends and neighbors,
I hope this finds you well and good. Thats not just something I say from the bottom of my heart, I hope this and everything I post finds you well and good.
Things are pretty good in my world. All of the bad stuff listed takes up this much space: were broke, the weather is getting cold and this house doesnt have heat, Christmas is coming and Im broke.
Thats all the bad stuff. The good stuff would take pages if I were to write it down and do it any sort of justice to all the blessings I have you would get bored and go look at new sets rather than read it. Suffice it to say Im happy in love, happy in writing, happy with my pets, happy with my family, happy with my friends.
Last night some friends of mine came by Im going to blog-dub them Mr. Bicycle and Ms. Boston. Ive been friends with them for years and years. Bicycle and Boston recently ended long, difficult relationships and found one another. Its sending ripples through the terribly inbred dating circle that is my main group of friends. (My connection to it: I tried to make out with Ms. Boston at a party one very drunk evening. I was gently rebuked and no one got their feelings hurt.)
We drank so, so, so much Jagermeister.
Anyway, Bicycle & Boston are a bad-ass couple! We had so much fun we just laughed and laughed all night and into the morning. We had dinner at Clocked (my last visit to those no-conception-of-customer-service-havin asses for a long while) and went to see Todd Snider play the Melting point. It was a good show: Snider is a funny, charismatic singer/ storyteller, clever and poignant. But I didnt like the vibe at the Melting Point at all its very corporate but trying to be rock and relevant. And the show was way, way too short to justify charging 22 bucks.
I still had a great night on the way home Mr. Bicycle did a Gene Kelly-esque dance routine and fell not once but twice, scraping his palms and twisting a knee. Smiled like a baby through the whole thing. We laughed our asses off.
Play is coming along slowly but surely. The lovers are about to meet! I sure hope they like each other.
So thats just about it. Take care and be well, each one of you.
take it light,

Taoist thought of the day: Urges are meaningless, actions are everything.
Cat Report: Vindaloo was very standoffish for a few days but has since completely come around. She loves to sit next to me while I watch movies. Bacchus is a good dog, but all of the sudden he wants to be around me all the time and he ignores Maya. Thats a drag for her; I hope the dog snaps out of it.
Factoid: My favorite Harlan Ellison story is The Manticore. My favorite Ray Bradburry story is The Skeleton. My favorite Joyce Carol Oates story is Where Are You Going, Where Have You Been. My favorite Richard Matheson story is I Am Legend. My favorite Phillip K. Dick story is We Can Remember It For You Wholesale. My favorite Stephen King story is All That You Love Will Be Carried Away. My favorite Clive Barker story is The Thief of Always. My favorite Brendan J. LaSalle story is Empire Blues. My favorite David Bernardy story is Singing Each To Each.
Currently digging: Sirius Satellite radio in the warehouse, The Zen Gun, Turkey-Guacamole Meatloaf, Todd Snider, old friends, OJ straight from the jug, warm jammies, much too much coffee
