Those can be real hard to do. Some of the early SG sets were self shot by the models but its tricky to look natural and comfortable and still manage to get things in focus.
You might be better off finding a photographer so all you have to worry about is the modeling part. Let the photographer worry about cameras and lighting.

Hey Punkie, venting is good for you. It's also good for anyone who reads it. So don't be sorry. Be happy that you breaath life into whatever you are saying. We all need that aggressive energy flowing freely. It's good for you (and me!).
Wanting reallly bad to move up on SG is just fine. A good goal. And you have every right to seek it out and go after it with all the intelligence and vitality that you have. I respect you for it. It's maybe just the direction SG needs to be going in. So you have my support. That's why I'm writing this comment. So hang in there, be fully yourself, and let it all out. We all understand (except for the many who seem to thrive on hiding their heads in the sand!).
