Ok, I am a little freaked out. Tomorrow I am having a Thoracic Interlaminar Epidural Steroid Injection ~ I am getting 6 injections in my neck Using fluoroscopic (x-ray) guidance, the appropriate path for the needle is determined. The skin is anesthetized and a thin needle is advanced to the appropriate region. A small volume of contrast solution is injected to show that the medication will flow exactly where intended. Then a small volume of anesthetic, along with steroid (usually triamcinalone), is injected.

I think what freaks me out is that they are shooting steroids close to my spine. I have never been this nervous before, I have had 5 knee surgeries and breast reduction, but this one is making me very nervous, probely because I do not know what to expect. I know it will just be fine but it just feels weird to be so nervous.
