I can barely keep my eyes open so forgive me if this post lacks any enthusiasm or wit. There have been a whirlwind of events since the last post, events that have been lost in the chords of memory forever and events that will remain there eternally.
Obviously I can only elaborate on said events that are lucid in my memory banks. Friday is a jumbled blur of sarcasm, beer, and commaraderie. All of which I love and in turn will be remembered as a fun night. Saturday led me to a party out in the middle of the mountains where I live. The fun didn't start until the wee hours of the morning when only a select few were still standing and various discussions of macabre all the way until the sun rose. Sundays is usually the same ritual, those who volunteered for the various tom-foolery throughout the weekend to reminisce of said things, only to forget them all over again a few hours later.
Monday and Tuesday found me deathly sick in my bed with an un-named illness. It was a very unpleasant time but do not fret I turned to something that I knew would help me escape. Cinema and literature. It's a sublime feeling knowing that mere words and emotions can carry you worlds away and let you escape. Monday was inked for Harry Potter from the moment I awoke I was consumed by the world of witches and wizards. I re-read the Deathly Hallows and for the day I took that epic journey with Harry, childish I know. Tuesday was then time for some of my cinematic favorites. I first started with the 80's fave "Say Anything" which I have ranted enough about already. I then watched "Finding Neverland" which is the epitome of imagining a world beyond your own. I then finished with one of the greatest movies of all time, "Casablanca."
Humphrey Boggart portrays one of my favorite movie characters of all time.
This whole seemingly boring rant is to remind everyone of the power of words, they're magical and don't ever hesitate to get lost in them.
On other notes, I think my friend who was suppose to goto the DKM/Horrorpops concert with me dropped out and now have an extra ticket. Anyone of interest let me know. This however does not make me any less excited for I will be there no matter the situation.
