Its about time to update, isnt it?
Things at work have been slow the last week and a half or so. Most of the time Ive kept myself busy, but there were a couple of days where I literally sat at my desk and stared unblinking at the computer screen. Somehow I managed to get three hours of overtime in, to. Doing what, Im not sure.
Ive been prowling eBay for both Batman costume apparel and Cisco routers lately. The Batman costume is for Halloween, obviously, as well as my own personal amusement. I like Batman.
The Cisco router is for my home network. I want a router that I have 100% control over. Its too bad the cheap ones are so expensive! My hopes of paying under $100 for the models Im looking at are slowly fading. If any of you happen to know of a way I can get a hold of a Cisco 1605R, 1711, 1712, or a 1720 with an Ethernet WIC, you let me know. If it requires knocking someone off to acquire such a device, I am prepared to do it.
