The damage isnt as bad as I remembered, which is good for two reasons: one, its not going to be as big of a pain in the ass to repair, and two, I wouldnt have been injured that bad had he hit my drivers door instead of the passenger door.
Here you can see why the wheel was tweakedthat bracket attaches the knuckle/brake assembly to the shock. Its bent up and outward slightly, causing the wheel to go all wonky.
This is how wonky the wheel is.
The door will be replaced, obviously. Im going to shop junk yards and find one. The cross-bar between the front and rear door is perfect, so mounting a new door wont be a problem at all. I might have trouble with it lining up, though, as you can see. The area is rather smashed. But, that's what hammers are for.
Ah well. When life throws you lemons, pucker up, bitch.
