Soothe fire sprinkler in my bedroom started dripping water last night. It lasted about fifteen minutes and then dwindled off to nothing. This has me somewhat concerned. I told the front office about it, and they said they didnt know if theyd be able to have someone out until Monday. Somehow the idea of the fire suppression system leaking doesnt sit right in my mind. Im also morbidly picturing swollen ceilings and property damage. I have no idea how those little buggars work, so Im not touching it. Just my luck Id end up flooding our apartment.
I have a lot of work to do this weekend, and not enough weekend to do it in. I had originally planned to replace my control arm bushings tomorrow, but a friend of mine called me up and offered me a little bit of network install work in the morning, so I might scratch the bushing installation all together. I need to take that kid out to dinner or something one of these days. Hes gotten me so many different side-jobs. My main priority is getting the major backend work for my current client done.
The old adage its not what you know, its who you know is the golden truth. Im networking left and right; the people I make contact with know people, who know people, who know people. One client, not related to the friend I mentioned above (except that the client is our mutual friends Aunt), has become a recurring customer. She wants another website in the next month or so. Woo!
I graduate next month. Ill be the first one to admit that Im terrified. Im not sure what Im going to do. I might join the AMC (Army Material Command) Fellowship. A Masters from Texas A&M, $30K a year while I'm in school (yep, paid to be in school full-time), then four or five years with the AMC after graduation.
I'm a rambling man, yes I am.
