Going back to South Dakota in the morning. Or today, I guess. I held the baby past midnight. He slept all day so he's not tired at the moment.

I got to talk to my little sister on the phone today. That was fun. She spent Thanksgiving with the folks at the Blanche house. Dad wants me back down there. More sheetrock work. It's not the worst stuff in the world...but it's close.

I actually cracked open my notebook and thought a little about the movie. It might never be finished. Or at least it'll never feel finished to me. I've heard a story that puts the situation in perspective. David Lean was off shooting one of his movies on location. A local theater was showing Lawrence of Arabia. And Lean got in trouble for repeatedly trying to break into the projection room. He wanted to edit the film. The movie is considered by most folks to be a masterpiece. One of the best films ever made. And he wasn't satisfied with it. So why am I bitching and moaning about my ugly little piglet of a movie.

I gotta get some sleep.
