Existence is not a property. Think about that. I'd assume by some neccessarily limited definitions of the word property, it's true. However, existence is a neccessary prerequisite to you isn't it?

Yes, I've been at the gaffer's home brew again. What of it?

You've got me fascinated. If it's cool with you, I'm going to add you to my friends list.

At any rate, I don't have the fortitude for a long response but it's good to know that what I wrote was analyzed and thought about; appreciated for it's content and given meaning by interpretation.

I'm the kind of person that has to examine the living hell out of everything. I have a huge problem with just leaving things alone. Example; let's say a close friend has a problem. They tell me that it has nothing to do with our friendship, that everything between us is well and good. They tell me that they're going to talk to someone else about said problem, and can't tell me why. My response; instant paranoia. My brain is capable of ignoring the clause about things being okay, and I go ahead and assume that since I'm cut out of the process, it must be a problem with me. Fantastic. This is the way I work. So I have to examine my emotions.

I'm all for feeling things for what they are. I'd be lying if I said I haven't given in to rage or despair, or even sudden joy without any question. I have. I've broken into tears without knowing fully why. I just have to think about it afterwards. Without that retrospection, I think the true meaning of why we feel is lost. If we don't examine our emotions, then why bother?

I think you hit the nail on the head about communication. There's really no way to explain, in all the vagaries and inconsistancies, our feelings to other people. It's like telling a blind person what happens to light when it passes through a diamond. Impossible.

As a finishing note; something I'd like your take on. Is it possible to be omniscient without also being omnipotent by definition?

I hadn't thought about the "powerless to stop an event" issue. Something to consider, at any rate. I'm of the mind that omniscience is omnipotence, because to have all knowledge is to be all powerful. Look at it this way. There isn't anything that an omniscient being doesn't know a way to do. I mean, if the human body is incapable of unassisted flight, an omniscient person knows a way to make it capable, right? Because if he or she didn't, they're not omniscient anymore.

Anyway, it's just a little thing I like talking about to make me feel like I can have an interesting theoretical conversation.
