Okay this homework is definitely needing to be done!!!
So I basically love my job. I feel like it's one of the few things I talk about, but I am SO much cooler on paper!
I am the Creative Media Director at Miss Envy Botanicals, a Cannabis lifestyle brand with a higher standard (pun intended). Sounds cool and vague, right? I know.
Basically I'm in charge of making sure any digital or print media coming out of, featuring, or associated with the company, is all to brand standards. This can be overseeing/organizing ad campaigns, sourcing creative talent, making sure packaging is consistent with our plans, helping with public events, or hiding behind our brand face when we go to PR events together!
But it's also not that straight cut with a small company. It's all hands on deck to make everything happens on all ends, which is the best part!
One month, I can be picking out clothing samples for our apparel soft launch (check out that lounge set! Also maybe that shirt i wear for a wee bit in my next set is an OG envy piece 🤷🏽♀️)
The next I can be in berlin showcasing the infrastructure of the canadian cannabis market with our comrades to global industry leaders and innovators (okay that was one time, but we travel for conferences and expos in north america a lot too lol)
Or that one time I got to speak on cannabis and sexual wellness with other like-minded women in weed (see previous blog post 😻)
Perhaps it's organizing digital ad campaigns with media brands or coming up with witty puns for that month's back cover ad in our reigonal print of DOPE magazine
And sometimes it's just filling a lot of bottles of infused lube (unfortunately R&D isn't billable hours in this case 🙄)
But every day I can honestly say that what I do and the people I work with keep me alive and going. I would be so lost without my envy family and it may seem like i'm main-veining the kool aid, but I truly love my job and the team I work with.
